Obstructing walk ways..

Hazards

The list of hazards associated with obstructing walk ways isn't extensive but none the less there are still hazards associated.
Cabinets with slide out draws / sideway hinged doors which open to obstruct a passageway
Possible injuries

The possible injuries that can result from walk ways being obstructed are:
- Trips
- Broken Limbs
- Cuts
Minimze risk
 
To minimze risk of injury the employee and employer should:

- Where possible locate cabinets out of trafficable areas

- If cabinets border on passageways, select cabinets which have slide-away or roller doors, which do not protrude when open
