The purpose of a creative common is so one is able to retain copyright while allowing certain other uses.
After answering a few questions the person gets a license, these can be expressed in several ways,
eg: 1) Commons Deed
2) Legal Code
3) Digital Code
The digital code can be added to a website where it'll be displayed as 'some rights reserved' with a link to the licence. in the future search engines and other applications will one day identify the licensee's work and recoginse how it's licensed all because of the digital code being embedded on a website.
Others can then search for 'non-commercial music' and a list of these songs will appear, once viewed this person then clicks on the digital code to obtain a copy of the common deed (human expression, plain language) and the legal code (nitty gritty). Once this person has finished using the music eg for a movie they must give credit to the creator of the song.
