Lighting..

Hazards

There is an extensive list of hazards when it comes to lighing a few of these are:
- Inadequate lighting

- Unshielded light sources (including the sun) are within employees' field of vision

- Inadequate overhead lighting

Possible injuries

The possible injuries from these hazards include the following:

- Straining of eyes
- Blindness
- Migranes

Minimze risk

To minimze risk of injury the employee and employer should:
- Where appropriate provide supplementary task lighting

- Move or shield light source(s) from field of vision
- Have tubes and light fittings cleaned or changed periodically to maintain designed levels of illumination
